Cayuga Medical Center, located at 100 Dates Drive in Ithaca,  is an acute care, not–for–profit hospital with 204 beds, an affiliated medical staff of 180 physicians and 800 health care professional employees.

Providing health care in Ithaca and the surrounding Finger Lakes region for over 100 years, CMC today offers state of the art diagnostic and treatment services to over 150,000 patients a year.

The mission of the Cayuga Medical Center  is to provide the residents of our region with comprehensive health care services of a preventive, curative, and educational nature at a cost reasonable to both patients and the medical center. Further, our mission is to supplement community services in order to meet the needs of the community by providing modern, efficient, and economically feasible programs, personnel, equipment, and facilities.

CMC is accredited  by  JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations  -- governed by the American College of Surgeons, American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association),  the leading health care accrediting body responsible for setting national patient care standards for hospitals and other health care facilities. In addition, the Cayuga Medical Center is affiliated with 30 teaching institutions, including the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, the University of Rochester, Syracuse University's Health Sciences Center, Ithaca College, Tompkins Cortland Community College, and Roswell Cancer Center in Buffalo
